Prezentare Demers Artistic
Born in Gorj county, Romania, in 1980, Daniel Dumitru Serban, is a professional artist, graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in Painting, National University of Arts Bucharest in 2004.
After graduation, he is established in his hometown Tirgu Jiu, where he has professional activities / arts and teaching / didactic-pedagogical ,school education in art. In 2007, became a member of UAP, Gorj subsidiary, continued participation (sporadic, for the years 2000-2004, then from 2004, ongoing) in group exhibitions held in the Municipal Art Galleries Targu Jiu ,and also participating on some exhibitions being organized in the country (Ramnicu Valcea, Hunedoara) and other local exhibition locations (Museum of Art, and History Museum “Alexander Ştefulescu”, Gorj).
His artistic activity (especially painting) which appreciation materialized by wining awards (2005, Award for Painting, Autumn Salon: Târgu Jiu Galleries of Plastic Fund and, 2007 Award for Painting, Autumn Salon: Municipal Art Gallery Tg Jiu), held in his own workshop and the creation camps (2007 Curtişoara, Gorj County and, 2008, Sighet ,Maramureş County), there are two thematic lines, the first being rooted in religious symbolism (Christian) of Byzantine origin, and the second dimension including landscape, focused on both the plain-air and into a register of connotations of imaginary conceptual reflection within the area whose fine arts are imposed under a transfigured form, the mental development of some specific imaging universes, regarding the ”topos” of Oltenia.
