ABOUT BIPB 2019 “Crossing borders”

UAP, the Union of Plastic Artists of Romania, in partnership with ICR, the Romanian Cultural Institute, MNLR, National Museum of Romanian Literature, and GalatecaGallery, organize the third edition of BIPBwith the title ”Crossing Borders”in Bucharest, in the interval between November 15^th– December 15^th.

BIPBthus continues supporting the international community of engraving artists who work with traditional engraving techniques, in their artistic endeavor by which they redefine the engraved image in the context of contemporary art.

BIPB is an international competition that addresses professional artists and students in their final year or master’s students.

The participation in BIPB 2019 is free of charge and each participant will receive a catalogue.

ICR of Romania will grant awards with the total value of 5000 euro.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN BIPB 2019 “Crossing borders”

The BIPB 2019 “Crossing Borders“ competition is an OPEN CALL one and will take place between August 3^rd and November 5^th, in two stages.

First stage

August 5^th – October 1^st,  send the application for the first selection, ON-LINE, until October 1^st, to the e-mail address: bucharestbiennaleprint@gmail.com

The application forms will be found on the Facebook pages of the biennale, of UAP, MNL, of Galateca gallery and on their respective sites.

The artists must send the application form until October 1^st, as well as images of two works executed in the last 5 years.

Second stage

October 1^st – October 5^th, the selected artists will be judged and contacted.

The deadline to receive the works is on November 5^th.

November 15^th – December 15^th, BIPB “Crossing Borders” exhibition.

The transport of the works and of the catalogue are the responsibility of the participants.

The sent packages must be joined by the inscription “NO PRINT VALUE”

The organizers are not responsible for the damages caused to the works during transport.

The organizers will be in permanent contact with the artists and will give all the details about the development of the events.
