„În miezul de foc al vieţii interioare, în încercarea de înţelegere şi comunicare cu energiile inalterabile şi tutelare ale lumii se află epicentrul nevoinţei şi al căutărilor în ordinul artei pe care Octavian Stoia le pune la lucru pentru a înţelege atât cât îi este dat
misterele lumii şi pentru a interoga şi a lăuda după putere, pe enigmaticul Creator.
Concepţia asupra libertăţii este cea care îi guvernează comportamentele creatoare plasându-l într-o hipostază deloc uşoară, deloc privilegiată: cea de Anarh. […] În afara oricărui hedonism, a te miri cărui joc privat sau public, împotriva sclavajului pe care i l-ar putea impune tehnicile şi tehnologiile, dar şi pura abilitate manufacturieră, Octavian Stoia reuşeşte să reprezinte o doxologie, o metaforă a frumuseţii lumii, un câmp deschis pentru întrebările de orice natură, ale spiritului viu. Fără a vedea în jurul său misterii păgâne, monade, cadrane magice, reprezentările lui Octavian Stoia sunt imagini simbolice, ikon-uri răspândite în lume pentru a aduce speranţa, lumina, binele şi bucuria
mântuitoare şi mângâitoare. […]
Octavian Stoia se pune pe sine în situaţia de a glorifica arta împreună cu vocaţia ei constructivă, cu vocaţia sensurilor ei metafizice, metacontingente. Artistului nu îi este indiferent dacă îşi pune arta în slujba vieţii sau a veştejirii ei.”
