Participant la doua ediţii ale prestigioasei Tabere de Sculptură de la Măgura Buzăului, unde a realizat doua lucrari din ciclul Homo Faber, sculptorul Emil Pricopescu s-a definit prin viziune şi s-a impus prin stil. Consacrat în lumea breslei ca redutabil portretist, confirmat de busturile lui Corneliu Coposu, Vasile Voiculescu, al pictorului Ştefan Popescu, Al. Marghiloman ş.a sculptorul a elaborat şi monumente cu caracter simbolic privind evocarea unor monumente istorice semnificative pentru istoria naţională. În acelaşi timp a evocat personalitatea lui Eminescu şi Ştefan Luchian, George Enesc sau Vasile Conta. Capacitatea imaginativă prelucrează datele figurativului şi, respectându-le , adaugă dimensiunea unor sentimente de admiraţie şi semnificaţie simbolica. Modelajul aplicat, subtil chiar, relevă caracterul excepţional al faptelor memorabile. Aşadar, un mod de interpretare în datele figurativului innobilat prin sentiment. Veridicitatea expresiei individuale, substanţa caracterului şi al unui vizionarism proiectic, conferă portretelor autenticitate şi determina sentmente de gratitudine. În planul sculpturilor cu caracter simbolic, se remarca compoziţiile cu motiv biblic unde austeritatea hieraticului spiritualizează şi invită la meditaţie Blagiana Mirabila sămânţa trece in registrul poematic şi,astfel aria sugestiilor estetice se amplifica semnificativ.Modelatorul are manualitatea unui inspirat şi rigoritatea unui geometru.Raporturile dintre parte şi intreg asigură lucrătorilor anvergura unei expresive armonii…

Participant to two editions of the prestigious Sculpture Camp from Magura Buzaului, where he realized two works in the cycle of Homo Feber, sculptor Emil Pricopescu was defined trough vision and was imposed trough style. Consecrated in the world of his fellow-workers as a redoubtable Coposu, Vasile Voiculescu, of a painter Stefan Popescu, Al. Marghiloman and others the sculptor also elaborated monuments with symbolic character regarding the evocation of some historic monuments singnificant for the national history. At the same tie he evoked the personality of Eminescu and Stefan Luchian, George Enescu or Vasile Conta. The imaginative capacity works the data of the figurative capacity works the data of the figurative and, respecting them, adds the dimension of some feelings of admiration and symbolic significance. The applied modeling, even subtle, unveils the exceptional character of his memorable deeds. Thus, a way of interpretation in the data of the figurative ennobled with feeling. The veracity of the individual expression, the substance of the character and of proiect visionarism, awards portraits with authenticity and determine feelings of gratitude.
