In einer allegorischen, kraftvollen visuellen Beschreibung bietet der Künstler Doru Nuta mit seiner Installation eine Reaktion gegen Künstlichkeit, Leichtfertigkeit und vor allem Scheinheiligkeit. Eine neue, zeitgenössische Deutung der alten Metapher des „roten Hering“, die in ihrem englischen Ursprung ein Ablenkungsmanöver bezeichnet.
Durch eine Mischung aus Porträt (sein Lieblingsgenre als Maler) und Skulptur (sein bevorzugtes Ausdrucksmittel), sowie durch das Hinzufügen von symbolischen architektonischen Elementen, Licht und Musik, vermittelt Doru Nuta mit seiner Installation eine Botschaft von Kraft und Besorgnis, jenseits des allgegenwärtigen Oberflächen-Aktivismus.
Sein zentrales Stück bietet den Schlüssel zum Verständnis einer künstlerischen, gesellschaftlichen und zeithistorischen Metapher.

Doru Nuţă (*1971 in Bukarest, Rumänien) lebt und arbeitet in Nürnberg. Nachdem er von 1991-1997 an der Fakultät für Bildende Kunst an der Kunstakademie in Bukarest studierte, betrat er, mit einem Masterdiplom in Bildhauerei, die Welt der selbstständigen Künstler und begann in den Bereichen Malerei, Skulptur und Installation zu arbeiten. Using an allegoric and visually strong form of expression Doru Nuţă presents with his installation an argument against artificiality, superficiality and especially against hypocrisy. A new, contemporary interpretation of the old metaphor of the „red herring“, which originally refered to a distractive maneuver.
By combining the portrait (his favourite genre as a paintor) with the sculpture (the art form which he prefers most), as well as with symbolic architectural elements, music and light effects Doru Nuţă conveys through his installation a message of strenght and concern, beyond the ubiquitous superficial activism.
His work of art represents the key to understanding the artistic, social and historical metaphor.

Doru Nuţă (b. 1971 in Bucharest, Romania) lives and works in Nürnberg. After studying at the Faculty for Fine Arts of the Bucharest National University of Arts between 1991 and 1997 and obtaining his Master degree in sculpture, he became an independent artist and started working in the fields of painting, scupture and installation.
