După ce şi-a imaginat şi a (re)prezentat harta României drept teren de fotbal, masă de ping pong, tablă de şah, magnet de frigider, câmp de luptă sau spaţiu virtual pentru jocuri pe calculator, Cosmin Petru Paulescu, COZO, după cum este cunoscut şi semnează uneori ca artist, îşi continuă proiectul “hARTA – teritorii portabile”, început acum mai bine de un deceniu, printr-un nou eveniment: expoziţia, respectiv performance-ul “Noile Migraţii”.
Hărţii României, constantă a proiectului, îi sunt adăugate hărți ale țărilor din Comunitatea Europeană, preferate de românii care aleg să trăiască și să muncească în afara granițelor naționale, cum ar fi Spania, Italia, Germania, Marea Britanie etc. Alături de acestea, desene, picturi sau obiecte, împrumută culorile steagurilor care le reprezintă. Noua serie aduce într-o cheie temperată una dintre problemele contemporane cele mai intense, fenomenul noilor migrații. Ideea, respectiv materializarea acesteia, transcende atât aspectele socio-politice, cât şi anecdota. Ceea ce contează aparţine în exclusivitate zonei vizualului.
Expoziţia va fi deschisă printr-un inedit performance manjabil, inspirat de evenimentele jubiliare din 2018, dar şi de faptul că NAG din această toamnă coincide cu ziua de naștere a artistului.
Galeria Contemp, gazdă a evenimentului, este un spaţiu ideal pentru astfel de proiecte, unde artiştii au posibilitatea de a se întâlni cu publicul larg, nu doar cu cei din comunitatea de nişă a cunoscătorilor. De altfel, la toate manifestările desfăşurate sub egida Contemp, publicul s-a simţit bine şi a stat până după miezul nopţii(lor), chiar dacă acestea nu au fost, din punct de vedere organizatoric, albe.

After he imagined and (re)presented the Romanian map as a tennis stadium, a ping pong table, a chess board, a fridge magnet, a war zone or a virtual space for computer games, Cosmin Petru Paulescu, or simply COZO, as he signs his work and is known in the Art sphere, continues his project “hArta (Map) Portable Territories”, started more than a decade ago, through a new event: the exhibition and performance: New Migrations.
To the central motif of the whole project, the map of Romania, he now adds the maps of the European community where Romanians choose to live and work outside national boundaries, of countries such as Spain, Italy, Germany, UK, etc. Each of those maps, drawings, paintings and objects, borrow colors from the flags of. The new series brings fourth in a temperate manner one of the most intense contemporary problems, “the phenomenon of the new migrations”. The idea and it’s materializations, transcends socio-political aspects and anecdote. What matters is belongs to the visual realm exclusively.
The expo will open with a novel eatable performance, inspired by the celebratory events of 2018, and by the fact that the NAG of this Fall coincides with the birthday of our artist.
