The series of tapestries signed by Viorela Mihăescu, where color and geometry reconstruct seashells, suggests a hidden and at the same time miraculous order. This world of nature transposed geometrically can also be found in Viorela’s computer graphics: a mirific vegetation, suggested by multiple planes, with saturated chromatic accents as well as faint transparencies. In contrast to these compositions, the watercolor landscpaes from Italian mediteranean cities are executed in hues of brown and ochre, suggesting the melancholy impregnated patina of time that has passed.
