The observation that by means of Oanei Hrişcă’s painting and adorments the art of Suceava enters the 21st century is supported by the irrefutable arguments of an unostentatious yet explicitly manifested modernity. A profitable detachment of the imperatives of a too close a dialoque with reality makes her reformulate in personal terms the lesson of the expressionism and adds the arguments of another generation. Pre eminently in the portraits Linda, Meliss, Outcry, she reiterates the theme of the hollow Scream, muffled in inner revolt, in order to show disillusionment and failure. Her characters live at the limit of despair and illustrate the drama of existence. There are high tonalities in the enthusiastic chromatics and the vibrated backgrounds alone alleviate the auditory shock. The expression survives in the rictuses exhausted by grief and the tension of the whole is diminiched only by the presence within the composition of some illusory windows. The explicit reference to the purifiyng significance of fire, Hearth and Core might be saving the slips of the world in identity crisis. In Point of view, the object made up of glass, stone and metal makes light the main character in the artistic set. The imaginative fervour, the picturesque and the material solutions of Oana Hrişcă make her an artist with an appetite for the free – of – conventionalism invention.
