“Otilia recreeaza universul într-un limbaj al culorilor, liniilor şi simbolurilor care se răsucesc elegant, într-o muzică a simțurilor, mărturisind o lume cu tonuri luminoase ce-şi spun poezia în firescul poeziei absolute, într-o continuă descoperire de sine, o nelinişte exisțențială care deschide uşa înspre sinele propriei căutari, invitînd în acelasi timp ochiul privitorului să se regăsească în arta ei.”

“Otilia Gruneanțu Scriuba este preocupată de o pictură desfasurată în imagistica de tip colaj asociativ. în cadrele ei accumulative sunt juxtapose fragmente disparate, provenite din realități diferite, din epoci istorice şi din spații geografice diferite, dar care sunt, în principala exercitare a acestei picturi, convertite cultural, angajate simbolic şi arhetipal, angajare care se traduce spre un perimetru central, spre un centru sugerat, presupus, şi se vede permanent orientată pe direcție vericală, precizată ca sens ascensional. Recurge, în mod constant, la simboluri culturale de mare frecvență : focul, apa, aerul, valul, creşterea, calul, fluturii, peştele, oul, scoica, pana; dar şi la simboluri provenite din orizontul artistic : Victoria din Samotrace, figuri umane de pe metopele lui Fidias, Venus din pictura lui Boticelli, ecorşeul, mulajul de gips. Particularitățile comunicării constau în imprimarea unui flux comun elementelor din imagine îndreptat spre o idee, modalitate eseistică uşor intreținută în regim alegoric. Functionează ideea complexității de existentă a lumii, ideea unei identități a lumii ca eterogenitate, a coexistenței, ideea unei generalități autocuprinzătoare. Ciclurile, aflate sub titluri precum Geneză, Metamorfoză, decelează imagistic tocmai ceea ce vedem şi ceea ce ştim din procesele şi evenimentele de apariție a lumii, din permanenta ei schimbare, dar şi din caracteristica ei fundamentală, aceea de a fi o totalitate. ”

Otilia Gruneanţu Scriuba is interested in creating a painting depicted as in associative collage imaging. In its accumulative frameworks are juxtaposed disparate fragments, coming from different realities, from different historical periods and from different geographic spaces, but which, in the main use of this painting, are converted culturally, symbolically and archetypally, conversation that translates into a central perimeter , towards a suggested, implied center, and is constantly oriented towards the vertical direction, ascending. She is recurring constantly to high-frequency cultural symbols: the fire, the water, the air, the wave, the growth, the horse, the butterfly, the fish, the egg, the shell, the feather; but also to symbols from the artistic world: Victoria of Samotrace, from the Fidias metropolis, Venus from Boticelli’s painting, the écorché, the plaster casting. The peculiarities of the communication consist in giving a common flow to the elements of the image directed towards an idea, an easily asserted essayistic way in the allegorical style. The idea of ​​the complexity of the world is present, the idea of ​​a world identity as heterogeneity, coexistence, the idea of ​​a self-contained generality. The works of art under the titles such “Genesis”, “Metamorphosis”, imitate precisely what we see and what we know from the processes and events of the world birth, from its constant change, but also from its fundamental characteristic, that of being totality. „
