Toată familia este dedicată muzicii, în special muzicii clasice. Nici eu nu sunt o excepţie, doar că eu am ales partea pasivă, de contemplare şi am optat pentru arte plastice în anii liceului. Aş fi dorit grafică la Facultatea de Arte plastice şi decorative de la Cluj-N, totuşi am ajuns la textile, – cu gândul de a mă transfera cât mai repede. Dar am rămas, vrăjită de infinita varietate a posibilităţilor de comunicare vizuală ale acestei lumi, în care forma şi culoarea e întregită de efectul moliciunii suave, al tridimensionalităţii pufos-uşoare, al efectului tactil şi al nenumăratelor efecte ce mă aşteaptă să fie descoperite. E o dulce provocare permanentă. Regret doar acei 15-16 ani, în care constrînsă de împrejurări am rămas infidelă actului de creaţie. Aşteptarea a fost benefică totuşi. Poate aveam nevoie de o maturizare profesională tacită, care s-a întâmplat în acei ani în care nici n-aş fi ştiut încotro s-o apuc, nedorindu-mi calea celor, care îşi croiau crezul artistic pe criteriul ideilor şocant de neobişnuite. Contactul direct cu lâna m-a ajutat să trec de impas.

All my family has been devoted to music, I was not an exception either, but I have chosen just to contemplate music and thus I attended the fine arts high school. I wished to study graphic arts, yet I happened to start my studies at the textile arts, Cluj-Napoca Academy of Visual Arts, hoping for a transfer as soon as possible. But I became enchanted by the infinite variety of this very special visual language, where forms and colours are completed by the soft tenderness, the airy quality of the three dimensional forms, the incomparable tactile sensation and other particular effects waiting for me to be discovered. This seems to be a delightful and permanent challenge. I only regret those fifteen or seventeen years when, under constraining circumstances, I was unfaithful to the act of creation. Waiting was still beneficial. Perhaps I had needed this silent period of professional maturization, not knowing which way to choose, as I refused to follow the fashionable path, where the shockingly unusual attempts to become the only aesthetic cathegory. The unmediated contact with wool, as I experienced the felting process, helped me out from the impasse.
